The Best Budget Wood Gazebos

The best budget wood gazebos are made of pine and have a classic 6/12 pitched roof with asphalt shingles. The 2×4 rafters and floor joists are included in the kits that come in three standard sizes of your choice of 8 feet, 10 feet and 12 feet. Just remember that these cheap gazebos are not made to meet hurricane code standards.

Even the budget wood gazebos are crafted from kiln dried, pressure treated pine, and you can opt for cedar shakes instead of asphalt ones. There are some great designs in the prefab budget wood gazebos through Gazebo Depot, if you’re in the US, and they include the standard small pine design that’s round or the one called the Octagon Standard Key West Gazebo. If you order them the Gazebos will be shipped Motor Freight, and you can install them yourself or have a contractor do the work for about 10% more cost, but the largest 14 feet sized models must be built on-site and may require a crane, so the costs will increase accordingly, up to 50%. The largest and most expensive ones can be bult to hurricane codes, but naturally this costs more.

What do Cheap Gazebos Cost

Even the most affordably priced budget wood gazebos are not exactly cheap. They are a luxury item, especially when built from wood. Here are some prices, just to give you an idea what you need to budget:

For a simple economy style pine gazebo that’s 8 feet round plan on spending about $2,250, for 10 feet round, $2,550 and for 12 feet about $2, 950. That is basic pine with asphalt shingles.

For a standard octagon design, the best budget wood gazebos will run you about $2, 875 in pine if it’s about 8 feet. A 14 foot size will be upwards of $5,000 and the largest 20 foot styles will cost over $9,000. All these kits are constructed of pine.

The octagon pagoda designs that have two tiers of roofing start at over $4,000 and go up to $10,000 for the large 20 foot versions.

So in conclusion, cheap gazebos in pine, in a variety of styles and shapes, will cost from around $2,000 to about $10,000 and that does not include installation. To upgrade to cedar you will have to add anywhere from $500 to over $1000 to the above prices. So you can see that cheap gazebos that are solid wood and are a minimum of 8 feet round will not be exactly cheap, but if you think that vinyl or aluminum will be more affordable it’s not really true. The kits for vinyl gazebos of a similar design and size, starting at 8 feet also, are priced at around $2,700 for the basic models.
