One option for using metal is to build a garage. Metal garages are less expensive to build than those made from wood and can be made in any size and shape. In fact, because they are easier to build than similar styles made from wood, you can really save some money by building one yourself. They are made from a series of metal studs, and are then covered with sheets of metal that attach to the studs and create the exterior walls. The roof can be made from metal, or you can build an angled roof with shingles or another type of material covering it.
Another good option for using metal for home use is to build or purchase a shed. Having a metal shed provides all of the same storage space that you will get if you buy a wood one, but you will save money in the process so you can use your hard earned money to buy items to go in the shed, rather than having to spend a lot on the shed itself. These sheds can be purchased as a completed unit or you can build one yourself, either from scratch or from a kit that you purchase from a manufacturer. Building it yourself is the cheapest way to do it, but if you use a kit, all of the measuring, cutting and figuring out what you need is already done for you and all you need to do is follow a set of detailed instructions to put the pieces together in order to create the finished product.
