Add Extra Storage Space to Your Round Kitchen Table

Don’t you hate it when you are hosting a nice pleasant dinner party at your round kitchen table with a few close friends and every time the conversation starts to get good someone asks you for another glass of wine? When that happens you have to get up from the table, walk over to the kitchen counter, pour the glass, and walk back with it to the table but now you’re out of the loop because you’ve missed a chunk of the dialog.

Well, you can stop that process forever if you get a round counter height kitchen table with a cabinet pedestal.

A counter height kitchen table is a taller than average table that uses a pedestal leg as its foundation. Pedestals can be just about anything because their job detail is to provide a solid base for the tabletop. Some counter height kitchen tables come with pedestal legs built as cabinets and wine cubbies so that you can store things in them that you might need during dinner.

Once you own a table with added storage space you will see just how much better your dining experience is when you don’t have to get up from the table to fetch something every five minutes. A good pedestal design will have cubbies for your wine bottles at the highest point of the table and cabinet with closed doors on the lower end. You can use the wine cubbies to store multiple bottles of wine (you know you will probably drink them) and keep spare napkins, utensils, salt and pepper shakers, and other items in the cabinets below.

The great thing about having storage space underneath your kitchen table is that you can keep kitchen essentials in there and get them out of the way. Keep all of your rarely used appliances like that giant mixer or that rice cooker in there so you can easily get them when you need them and hide them when you don’t.
